Today I finally got to stretch my legs and see a little bit of the area. Amelia and I went to Eric's office via Centennial Park. It took about 40 minutes to get there, walking at a good pace most of the time, but with a few stops for picture taking and just to look at the scenery.

Some day Amelia will climb this all by herself |

Bondi Junction in the distance |
The park reminded me of Golden Gate Park. It's funny, because I have always wanted to move back to the bay area, and now, I kind of have! Even this area has San Francisco feel with the accessibility, the walkers, the views, the bay, etc. Of course, it's not. It's quite far, but it's nice to have so much of what I love about California right here--I just had to move 8,000 miles away to get it.
Once we made it to the Entertainment Quarter, where Eric's office is located, I found the little playground (which had amazing sail shades, by the way) near all of the restaurants. Unfortunately, the toddler playground was closed today so we struggled to find things Amelia could do at the open one. Next week, if we manage to go again, we'll get to play at the pint-sized park.
Eric met us for lunch and then we walked over to the Fox lot afterwards to see his "office". It was a 15 minute walk or so to get to their office, set, or whatever IT is. The lot just like the ones you see on tv--giant hangers with all sorts of stuff going on in each one. A stage for a movie in one, big pieces of sets being painted and assembled in another, various trees and plants ready for their close ups, tents for the cast and crews (I believe they are filming The Great Gatsby right now), and much more. Eric's "office" is where they do motion capture filming. It's also in a hanger like structure, but much smaller. I couldn't take any pictures, otherwise I would have just posted them. I think I also signed a non-disclosure, but I haven't said or seen anything top secret.
After our big trip to the office, Amelia and I walked back home. Though I had promised her a bus trip, she fell asleep in the stroller before I got to the bus stop and figured it would be better for both of us if I just walked. Our day ended with a nice little dip in the hot tub, though it's really only as warm as a bath. It's still nice to have access to it from 6am-10pm.
